Description:

G6 ^; _7 u3 DTo study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development.$ X& J9 X3 p# \( M7 R6 J7 M

Responsibilities:
) |" ^9 R" e# w; O4 \* ?- T· Document the existing databases and system dependencies
o) [) M- p' T( m$ T* R$ ^· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies9 o" f* k& z( x- t
· Participate in the design phase of SDLC
% x1 R9 t( j7 l& {· Develop required database components% I' f \" W# N% m
· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments1 |+ h% o' ?. p) G3 f4 p* K
· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases
' ^7 U; w3 _$ P, _$ h; Y/ Q· Identifying issues in the existing databases0 g$ e: k1 g: [
· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance
" r" k5 x1 J; S/ E, T5 P6 |· Participating in improving database performance1 V% r9 m5 C& b5 {
· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)
& `, L& ?& J# j0 r, y· Researching and analyzing available technologies to serve a specific business need; ?" k% b3 T: U) W( Q; e
· Identifying different options for potential solutions and assessing them + e9 p* X% _) m) F3 O
· Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems; o4 l Y6 d* U( z& T
· Working closely with systems analysts and developers to support the database requirements. 2 Y% l X; p% C# }# m
· Overseeing the implementation of new systems2 C; q6 Y" U# \7 R
· Planning and working flexibly to a deadline6 _# l* E5 ?: }. P2 j/ a& J
· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments+ D% @4 [9 K3 G# r8 h! k6 S

Requirements:
; A1 y) S) h/ @: F8 y( e; }· Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience) e6 K- L7 W4 c1 B2 o
· Five to ten years experience in database development activities 9 c$ v5 i0 {" t( D9 O1 p2 A f( q
· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development
' }( M' Q3 [8 @9 h) Y· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS2 m4 c$ u) s0 S3 M f5 W
· Be proficient with document management tools / u, D: g* w# X& c2 O) A
· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle
) E3 x1 k+ o b& |) u" @· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services
. N. ^; m6 H2 T, M+ k6 i5 q9 q" [· Experience and /or exposure working in projects
2 K" @' J7 }; O6 `· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
2 f$ h. Q! Q) U) d, q. ~" Y· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes

· Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
