To study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development.

· Document the existing databases and system dependencies1 s( b) C/ Q T6 ^. H
· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies
! J( U q0 P- O! b4 ~· Participate in the design phase of SDLC
( P$ z* r; Z! C- ~: g· Develop required database components5 L( T6 s9 X) B0 m6 S
· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments
, @0 L) `) b# l0 ^5 \: X5 i0 R# o1 V· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases0 H( L r2 t C) ^; L* N
· Identifying issues in the existing databases
. G" e/ ?# D0 u2 X1 ~8 f· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance

· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)

· Working closely with systems analysts and developers to support the database requirements. 0 v, ?9 Z6 S0 `+ ^

Requirements:: o0 {0 ?9 E" J: U+ @
· Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience. E. m4 i1 j! s2 o: M! w& N5 X
· Five to ten years experience in database development activities
, D7 b/ t4 D. g3 C6 H* [1 a2 ?9 i3 v( `· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development
) q2 {5 _. ]5 W5 C· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS8 T. |1 l ~$ H4 {2 _
· Be proficient with document management tools
+ ?+ v" x5 O) b, q· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle
k, s: K3 |4 O, e· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services
+ }3 O4 x6 L% c2 U) s; ]3 Z) a· Experience and /or exposure working in projects
: n* m1 l/ U. P3 `' s) G9 c, ]· Strong analytical and problem solving skills9 d1 n) Y: O; r" c* t: Z
· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
