HTo study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development.; c: W* ?7 s2 H

5 w6 m# A. o# x3 B· Document the existing databases and system dependencies
" c# v8 ? O6 ]% a, m5 C# I1 F· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies
7 q0 s4 G/ F. _, i/ D9 r· Participate in the design phase of SDLC6 [7 ^+ a; }+ H- ~: B# H
· Develop required database components
9 D% V6 _' @0 n g( o8 u5 w· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments1 n# f2 \% D; }! y: B$ r
· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases6 O8 x' S/ b) g1 y
· Identifying issues in the existing databases8 v q: z% |0 [* G
· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance+ [3 |+ U# E5 D- V g
· Participating in improving database performance
" b" a( a5 j& [% V; \. G· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)

· Identifying different options for potential solutions and assessing them

· Overseeing the implementation of new systems

Requirements:/ O# M9 B7 j9 ^
· Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience
$ |/ {+ b) t; ^# k· Five to ten years experience in database development activities
! v7 l$ Z4 p' ] ?; {% P5 [· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development0 h" o2 v* C$ ~
· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS5 O; c$ c* f) y' i2 }5 s" Z
· Be proficient with document management tools . D) K0 q6 p, r+ c
· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle7 D6 p2 m' Z+ X3 \6 p& }5 @" V+ h' p; z: C
· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services ; e* _6 I2 H" [) J( `2 G0 w
· Experience and /or exposure working in projects / ]( b8 r( W) q. m% e: H
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills2 {! Y8 @7 o) ^5 L4 [- f8 l* C
· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
" E, v/ k3 Y! q% `! e7 V· Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
