# @# `0 i* H/ C( y N6 ~( Q |1 L1 B, }To study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development., s; Q$ q/ r( \: [0 t& h

· Document the existing databases and system dependencies
- L: A* i/ S3 s5 ^+ A: D· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies8 T0 u" d) y% Y1 Q3 `
· Participate in the design phase of SDLC
0 F( i7 J2 b0 \$ z: i6 A2 }· Develop required database components
+ `' f; J1 s4 x( w5 n1 ?· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments# b: J) ~6 q4 c& X3 m
· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases- @' ?6 [$ D' A
· Identifying issues in the existing databases
! n1 {- a7 N7 \0 @7 o/ S· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance
9 L/ S; p, u8 L+ V0 `· Participating in improving database performance
. n( d# C- n! z6 S· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)" ?- c( b0 k, T. i: u! k$ X
· Researching and analyzing available technologies to serve a specific business need- o' i4 F/ j n# t
· Identifying different options for potential solutions and assessing them

· Working closely with systems analysts and developers to support the database requirements. ; |. Z* D* X6 A4 U7 T; n

( Y. _1 Y5 W$ V· Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience
, N0 V$ H/ v4 ^, j: C· Five to ten years experience in database development activities
F( ?# O4 e& k$ T· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development6 H1 L7 z: F [) P
· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS# f' ]6 ^3 u5 s4 ~$ ]' {- R
· Be proficient with document management tools . q5 ?4 Y% M6 S e3 [
· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle
% K) V" g" ^- s* ?- K. K1 @· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills" i+ |: W, i/ l; g) [* F% `0 U# N& ~
· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
