Reporting to the Mandarin Team Lead, the Mandarin Editorial Translator is responsible for translating the SSENSE editorial content and marketing assets as needed. As part of the Copy and Translation team, he/she will ensure that all content in Mandarin is consistent with SSENSE guidelines. The ideal candidate possesses an excellent command of Simplified Chinese, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen interest in fashion.1 Y* Y% E+ o# m* F" v; {

Translate all editorial content (articles, interviews, etc.) from English to Simplified Chinese: r% n8 Y) _4 Z8 c1 `% g4 Z" y! j
Translate various marketing assets from English to Simplified Chinese as needed. O! W4 K$ q" }3 M9 z* t" u' R
Provide support to the e-commerce technical translation team" P" p# t5 L" P) q. S* O; @

REQUIREMENTS + t3 u* {) B7 }5 T8 Q2 G' [* vBachelor’s degree in Translation or related experience with a focus on literary translation5 r# K3 A0 W* C& c, {( ^
A minimum of 5 years experience in English-Mandarin translation and adaptation, ideally in an agency or as part of a team of editors/translators in a high-volume publishing environment; R' W7 ^& F4 l7 x0 v7 c; Z
Superior research skills 7 ^5 e9 @3 o& i$ v) t, _Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and business tools such as Slack ( r4 e V# k DMastery of Simplified Chinese grammar, spelling, and usage including ability to craft culturally-sensitive texts + q* _- M9 l0 |5 A0 I1 s! m3 x6 K
