The position is responsible for all operational IT tasksrequired to maintain a mid-size network of servers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Windows and Linux servers for infrastructure, user services, and production telecom network.
  
• Support of internet facing infrastructure (HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP)
  
• Managing virtual servers
  7 R) @5 v1 U; `8 p6 n$ ^
• Monitoring of servers and processes
  3 U7 W, C9 [( c+ {! X! O$ }
• Managing of Micro Soft Active Directory accounts.
  1 O) ]9 P0 m1 o- A) ^3 p+ W2 q: Z
• Support for local station issues as well as some remote branch support
  
• Implementing best security practices
  # l! c  O$ _5 Q! M7 q& [, ^, _
• Troubleshooting server/workstation issues
  * f. y) [  I0 O) N5 G/ ?- k
• Back up architecture and disaster recovery planning
  % A! H! D9 ]( B; K
• IT architecture design and decisions

Qualifications:

9 M9 E0 v' o9 P2 X
• Minimum 2 years experience working with Windows and Linux
  
• Knowledge of related services such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and FTP
  
• Knowledge of pfSense firewalls.
  , l0 S1 D1 U& m5 W8 B; }
• Understanding of application load balancers (pfSense/F5) an asset.
  
• Knowledge of Linux based firewalls and networking
  + p1 F7 v% b% n6 i3 r8 O4 ^+ j3 ]
• Experience with MicroSoft Active directory and MicroSoft SQL
  6 b! c3 R1 p: |* c% d
• Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP and related Internet Protocols
  ( `' [" r7 E& w0 k$ j. ~" K
• Scripting experience (Bash, Perl)
  
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS an asset(Dell Compellent, QNAP)

• Knowledge of Xen virtual clustering environment an asset.

• Broad understanding of IT architectures and technologies
  
• Good interpersonal communications skills and a strong team player
  
• Good skills at writing documentation

• Good verbal and written communications skills

• Spanish an asset
