The position is responsible for all operational IT tasksrequired to maintain a mid-size network of servers.

Responsibilities:

Manage Windows and Linux servers for infrastructure, user services, and production telecom network.9 H8 s8 i/ P- R. X( w! `
Support of internet facing infrastructure (HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP)
. i0 \" q( c& k5 c( x
Managing virtual servers
2 ] H1 b, H' n S- p% }+ s6 O: m
Monitoring of servers and processes 4 \9 @5 T4 @( S
Managing of Micro Soft Active Directory accounts.

Support for local station issues as well as some remote branch support4 z! n- R3 \ F: Z
Implementing best security practices% ?" _2 W, e# V7 d, o
Troubleshooting server/workstation issues

Back up architecture and disaster recovery planning
& _7 q1 z2 E5 F% [0 R
IT architecture design and decisions

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years experience working with Windows and Linux4 \/ `/ Q- h: R9 l; Z; @0 i3 j8 V# \
Knowledge of related services such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and FTP
( K& |; j1 t0 i1 ?/ [& }& @5 T
Knowledge of pfSense firewalls.
0 e I8 e7 b+ m g3 Q& ~/ E
Understanding of application load balancers (pfSense/F5) an asset.2 ^ O: v/ R( ~/ }; t" F7 A g
Knowledge of Linux based firewalls and networking
% U5 t* s0 D5 Z+ _5 p
Experience with MicroSoft Active directory and MicroSoft SQL

Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP and related Internet Protocols- T7 l' {- C( y
Scripting experience (Bash, Perl)

Knowledge of SAN/NAS an asset(Dell Compellent, QNAP)6 Y f3 B: [1 z3 p: V# J6 b
Knowledge of Xen virtual clustering environment an asset.' I v/ W' p8 I% z' F
Broad understanding of IT architectures and technologies: S/ Z7 r R6 ^0 A, x
Good interpersonal communications skills and a strong team player
