Concordia's DIS(Digital Image Sound & The Fine Arts Program is one of the 1st Digital Mutimedia program in Ca.It is A combination of Computer application program and Fine Arts program. It means you have to complete the 2 majors which are both seperate program respctively.It can be registered in both CS and FA.But the difficulty to be accepted is obviously. So far there are only 2 to 4 Chinese in the program since it started.
It is also very tough to get through all of the courses in 3 years.
Anyway, it is really an exciting and, of course, a challenging program.

How much time you have every day for your study? Go for it if you do not have much family burdon (dating, taking care of kids, working, looking after family business, etc.).

It is difficult. But you can get it as long as you like the subject and you try your best.

谢谢gofar。这个专业的硬杠杠就是要学过高等数学和数理逻辑。但是，这只是一个前提。在这个前提下，最重要的就是portfolio（作品集），当时我咨询的时候，concordia的adimission counsellor对我说，一切都取决于我的portfolio。

就我个人感觉，对咱们中国人来说，这个专业更适合计算机（编程）背景的学生。这个专业有两个侧重方向，可以根据各人情况选择向技术方向倾斜，或向艺术创意方向倾斜。象我这样，学校里学的那点工科底子都忘干净了，要说创意，商业设计方面和当地学生比创意，也没什么优势，总之，没太大信心。

我是刚刚到montreal的，想报明年的1月份的学期，不知还用不用写推荐信，我想报fine arts不过听说不太容易，不知报fine arts都需要些什么手续，而且报明年1月份学期的截止日期是什么时间是9月还是11月，跟fine arts比起来bussines是不是更容易些。

cheers, 你真牛，concordia的fine arts也是我想报的专业，所以急需你的帮助，上fine arts是不是要interview它对语言的要求高不高，而且portfolio要带多少张，都带哪些类型的作品，至少要什么水平的，问了那么多问题，真不好意思，不过希望你能给我答复  :confused:   :confused:   :confused:   :confused:
