Language is a problem for most of us, but it is not that serious as most of you guys said here.
Apart from hospitals in front of dying people, there are a lot of places where nurses are desperately needed.
So you really don't need to worry too much if you make up your mind.
Only suggestion is to get involved into the industry and the people working in this industry.
There are plenty of opportunities there...good luck !!!
我在中国读的护理本科,现在完成了McGill的护理硕士,学的很辛苦。挺了挺,也就过来了。没有那么高不可攀。非常感谢我先生对我的鼓励和支持。我现在已经开始在Jewish General Hospital 工作,9月份考护士执照。这里的护士薪水没有你们想象的那么高,而且很有级别。大概是college $17/h, bechelor $23/h, master $27/h.工作也没有那么累,重要的是医学单词,简写, 和药物名称很难一时间反映过来,我想,过段时间会好的。一般一个护士管四个病人的工作量。我认识一个Dawson college 毕业的中国护士,也在Jewish General Hospital 工作。我觉得她比我临床要强很多。大概college学的东西更实用些,McGill 更理论些。我下个月考执照,觉得自己准备得不是很好,但我还是有信心的,因为考的非常基础和基本,keep calm and remember the common sense of nursing.但我还需要漫长的学习法语,很痛苦的感觉。先生决定如果我实在过不了法语关,我们就搬到温哥华去。
