The position is responsible for all operational IT tasksrequired to maintain a mid-size network of servers.

Responsibilities:

Manage Windows and Linux servers for infrastructure, user services, and production telecom network.. z$ c; b( j' P- I/ E4 l/ ] m
Support of internet facing infrastructure (HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP)2 X5 G% k2 m3 d* l
Managing virtual servers

Monitoring of servers and processes

Managing of Micro Soft Active Directory accounts.% O% P( K1 B Q1 r2 P
Support for local station issues as well as some remote branch support; U! C' K2 E3 c, T( s
Implementing best security practices

Troubleshooting server/workstation issues

Back up architecture and disaster recovery planning' k8 L2 R4 M- G- h3 X, |! W
IT architecture design and decisions- }9 E* e8 l2 o1 T* j; a

Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience working with Windows and Linux. Q A0 D& v# l+ F- g3 V2 T
Knowledge of related services such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and FTP. Q7 S0 u; s8 C8 U
Knowledge of Linux based firewalls and networking
2 Z) \" c4 U( |" ]& d( q, h
Experience with Micro Soft Active directory and Micro Soft SQL
% W8 t' b; E1 H; Y2 Z, a( c, S5 b
Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP and related Internet Protocols% `/ T: |% S/ @" h1 s# j
Scripting experience (Bash, Perl)
i U6 v: B: T- V! C" J
Knowledge of SAN/NAS an asset(Dell Compellent, QNAP)
& n! a8 v. X/ |1 b
Knowledge of Xen virtual clustering environment an asset.

Broad understanding of IT architectures and technologies
& V# Y8 x! Y( w8 l# w# d7 B
Good interpersonal communications skills and a strong team player

Good skills at writing documentation
