The position is responsible for all operational IT tasksrequired to maintain a mid-size network of servers.

Responsibilities:

Manage Windows and Linux servers for infrastructure, user services, and production telecom network.

Support of internet facing infrastructure (HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP)

Managing virtual servers
' I2 U: s6 g. y( N. X
Monitoring of servers and processes

Managing of Micro Soft Active Directory accounts.1 ~: f) s) f8 F6 L
Support for local station issues as well as some remote branch support
4 z) Z$ x/ y7 T* L& a) F# ~1 P$ Z8 h
Implementing best security practices

Troubleshooting server/workstation issues
/ r* g" e1 J0 J8 }
Back up architecture and disaster recovery planning

IT architecture design and decisions
" o" j- e$ f5 @# a" o

Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience working with Windows and Linux$ A& q. m, g' X5 J* O
Knowledge of related services such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP and FTP1 V: _- G* h: u/ E7 i e8 a8 Y
Knowledge of Linux based firewalls and networking
7 c! p2 @- ~- t! i9 U5 ^. ]
Experience with Micro Soft Active directory and Micro Soft SQL
Z' M' y" b) P$ B Q! d
Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP and related Internet Protocols9 {6 g5 I! q& r& J* J4 z
Scripting experience (Bash, Perl)
/ v% G9 p% q& z
Knowledge of SAN/NAS an asset(Dell Compellent, QNAP)

Knowledge of Xen virtual clustering environment an asset.# v- v1 z- {9 I3 |8 l
Broad understanding of IT architectures and technologies

Good interpersonal communications skills and a strong team player
