A west island company has the following position available:

Profile: Information Systems Developer

Report to: IS Director

Level: Senior

Profile Scope/Description:

The IS Developer main responsibilities will be oriented to develop new and evolve existing Corporate Software Solutions of the Company. Working in the development team, he/she shares the responsibility to support solutions not yet handed over to the support team, and to provide support when tickets are escalated from the support team to the development team. This is a very hands-on position where the ideal candidate will not only drive the adoption of new architectures, but also work side-by-side with fellow developers to implement new products and ensure high-quality development practices.

Profile Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Mandatory

· At least Five (05) years of experience in software Development.

· Solid experience in software development using Groovy for:

o Dynamic Web Based Server Applications

o Rest and SOAP clients

o Real time dashboards using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML 5 and CSS 3

· Experience with J2EE, emphasizing Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JDBC and JSP.

· Experience configuring and creating applications to be deployed in JBOSS AS and EAP Servers.

· Experience configuring JDBC Pool Connection to Oracle and MS-SQL.

· Experience with NoSQL technologies (MongoDB).

· Experience with Oracle 10/11g Database programming. Definitely an asset.

Soft skills required

· Well oriented to results and goals.

· Analytic, design and documentation argument skills

· Good interpersonal skills

· Skills well defined for problems resolution.

· Languages: English, Spanish optional.

Desirable

· Prior work experience in Telecommunications.

· SIP/VoIP Servlet Programming.

· Experience in SQL Programming in environment MS-SQL Server 2K/2.5K

· Knowledge of JBOSS Application Server Administration.
