It is an annual competition.
I went to watch the semi-final
and final 2 years ago.
The bar was jam-packed with spectators.
The 15 contestants of various singing styles,
did the semi-final, then the final
in the same night.
Although the bar was small and jam-packed
with spectators with elbow-to-elbow
standing room only,
but the singing quality was very high
throughout the 3.5-hours contest
I could actually bear the heat
and stood the whole time.
The cover charge was $7 that night.
This year the competition starts up next week.
