Jointly organized by the Film Bureau of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Canada, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) and the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).


Canada and China: 40 years of diplomatic relations

The NFB is underlining the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and China by holding a series of screenings for adults et families.

Forever Enthralled
2008, Directed by Chen Kaige
This epic biopic of famed Chinese opera singer Mei Lanfang, starring Zhang Ziyi and Masanobu Ando, won Best Film at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2009, and won accolades for newcomer Shaoqun Yu and supporting actor Xueqi Wang.


Saturday, October 9 , 3 pm - family program
The Dream of Jinsha, animated film, 2010
Middle-school student Xiao Long accidentally travels back in time to an ancient Chinese Kingdom, thirty five hundred years ago. This is where his uncanny adventure begins.
Screening with the NFB animated film, The Chinese Violin.

Saturday, October 9 , 7 pm
Confucius
2010, Mei Hu
This epic historical drama, starring Chinese star Chow Yun-Fat, focuses on Confucius' transformation from an ordinary bookkeeper to a philosopher and sage, and the journey he made to spread his thinking around then-warring kingdoms of northern China.

Sunday October 10, 3 pm - family program
Presentation of the NFB's films: The Friends of Kwan Ming, Roses Sing on New Snow et Mr. Mergler’s Gift.
Two films from the NFB's Talespinners collection, created for children aged five to nine and Mr.Mergler's Gif. The story of a young pianist, Xin Ben, 9-year-old daughter of Chinese immigrants who meets Mr Mergler, a music teacher whose career is drawing to a close.

Sunday October 10, 7 pm
Go Lala Go!
2010, Director Xu Jinglei
Genius is ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration. That is the case for Du Lala, who begins her career in a Global Top 500 company as a humble receptionist. Lala tackles pressure and frustration with a positive attitude, in her climb to the top.

Monday, October 11, 7 pm - family program
Walking to School
2009, Peng Jiahuang and Peng Cheng
The Lisu tribe, which dwells in the heart of Yunnan's Gongshan Mountain, has a unique method of transportation – children must slide across the Nujiang Gorge on a hook in order to attend the village school. Wawa (Ding Jiali) is deemed too young and thus is forbidden to join his older sister Naxiang at school. However, he is so desperate to learn that he secretly does it anyway in order to eavesdrop on her lessons, but this has serious consequences.

In the distance of thirteen blocks, the one man who holds a nation’s fate must survive relentless attempts on his life with only five bodyguards, a group of ordinary men and women who possess extraordinary fighting skills.

1942, Nanking - Following a series of assassination attempts on officials of the Japanese-controlled government, the Japanese spy chief gathers a group of suspects in a mansion for questioning. 我刚才去NFB 取了 明天晚上七时 "孔子" 的免费电影票。

很可能,你可以在电影开始的时候 直接进入电影院。明晚的 "孔子" 除外,相信很多人有兴趣。预先拿票安全点

今天下午3点,有一个适合小朋友和家庭的电影。可能可以在电影开始的时候  直接进入电影院。

大朋友应该也会喜欢的 ,回到3500年前 的旧中国 。。 。 。 。
