前段时间，跟一个鬼子发生口角，然后动手，对方先对手，叫了警察，我要求对方道歉，对方不肯，态度极坏。后我要求上庭告他，估计是警察觉得写报告太麻烦，就让对方也同时起诉我（当然，也有可能是保护对方的权利），还跟我说，双方在上庭之前，都不能出国。因为，这个已经是criminel的范畴。

我的问题是，警察是吓我，还是真的我在此期间就不能离开加拿大了？

Have you been fingerprinted at the police station? If yes, that means you are having a pending criminel record. After going to the court house, if you will be sentenced guilty, they will transfer your records to the RCMP.

What's your status in Canada?Citizen?Or permenant resident?
If you are a citizen, there should not be any problem to leave and come back to Canada, But if you are a permenant,there might be a problem.

Hope this could give you a general idea.

Just some statement taken by the police, on the street....no fingerprinted at all. So that means no pending criminal record?

If you will be sentenced as guilty, for sure, there is going to be a record in RCMP. All your personal information will be transfered there after the sentence.As a PR, it 's better not take chance of going out of Canada, You might have problems of entry.

If you want, you can run a check on yourself at a police station, other one than the one that took your statement. They are connected. You should be able to find out what's going on.

在法院判决前, 只是被告, 即使原告是国家的检察机关, 也是无辜的.
在法院, 私人跟国家的检察机关享受一样的法律权利.

比较严重的刑事嫌疑, 候审其间得交保.
候审其间, 去美国有时候行, 有时候不行, 出国,没听说不行.
