除非你拖车或上象Mont Washington那样高的山道, 你应该永远把Overdrive打开(或放在overdrive的挡上), 不然, 你的油耗回很大, 另外在高速时会损于发动机.

在MONTREAL地区(包括在Mont Tremblant)驾驶, 你一直用OVERDRIVE既可.

Overdrive is designed to save gas and protect your engine from overrunning. It should only be turned off if you are towing a heavy load and going up a steep hill (nothing around Montreal/Toronto/Qeubec City area).

Therefore about 99.5% of the time, you should drive on O/D -- unless you are fully loaded and willing to dish out a lot of bucks for the gas!

It works to the opposit:

O/D on = O/D light off
O/D off = O/D light on

You have to make sure the yellow O/D light is off all the time.

over drive的设计原理是不是减少档位的变换幅度？
