5月15日上午，本人应约到800号报到，申请法语学习，也许是运气不好，遇到一个非常凶恶中年胖女人，不知是不是各位前辈遇到的那位。从她把我带到办公间开始，没有说过一句客气的话。她一开始就用法语问我来有何事，我说我不懂法语，她极不耐烦地说“nothing,nothing i can do for u”。我说我想让我太太学习法语，因为我觉得法语对我们将来在这里生活很重要。她说“nothing i can do for u”。我把有关证件一一给她看，她说不想看。我把我的"lease"给她看，她非常快地看了一眼就说，没有用，我非常生气，我说我想知道在那里可以学习法语，那里可以申请政府资助的法语学校，她说不能告诉我。我被激怒了，我指着她的鼻子大声说“you must tell me where can i apply for french studying ! i have the right to know! it is your duty to tell me! you must answer my question!”她显然是被我的举动惊呆了，睁大眼睛张着嘴巴对着我不知所措，周围的官员也纷纷站起来看，我大声讲“the attitude of this office is very bad, she treates me unfair, i can not image the officer in canada like she is so bad!”这时一个中年男官员急忙走过来，要求我们双方安静下来，他自称是这里的主任，请我到他的办公室说明情况。我跟他到办公室后，把情况向他解释，我把所有文件拿给他看，我说我是新移民，到这里才3个星期，我想学法语，从加政府发的小册子中知道只有800号来咨询。而接待我的官员却态度非常恶劣，不向我提供任何信息。我不知道这到底是为什么。如果你们政府不欢迎我们新移民来蒙城，或不欢迎我们来学习法语，你们应该在报纸、电视、网络上广告声明，我们没有任何过失，没有任何理由受到你们政府官员的这种歧视和恶劣的态度对待。这个主任向我道歉解释，他认为接待我的官员态度不好，他亲自去把我的申请单拿过来，告诉我8月1日到800号。

On the other hand, forgive them would you?  They are poor ordinary employees who deal with the new immigrants day after days, hour after hours, second after seconds, for more or less the same questions, and give more or less the same answers....on and on....That woman must be fed up and hates her job.  She needs some help and that's all.

对了， 能不能再进一步地， 比如写信去移民局。详细说明一下整个过程 ，要求他们出具书面理由，要他们书面说明，WHY？？
并天真地询问， 是否MONTREAL的政府官员很多都这个样子？这种情况我们以后会碰到很多吗？我们是否有必要离开这个风景很美丽的城市？
不好意思， 本人多事了。
不过，反正闲着也是闲着。

I just went to 800 today. I was interviewed by a woman who looks like a Chinese. I thought that I was lucky at first.
But at the end, she told me my friend's lease and landlord's letter doesn't work. She said that I won't be treated as Quebec resident. And if I apply for University, I should pay as resident of other provinces. And if I apply for cofi, I should bring with my own lease. Till now, I had landed Canada for more than 3 months. If they don't accept my friend's lease, though I came Montreal in 3 months after I landed Canada, I have to pay more and can't get loan and bursary. It is unfair.

I told that it is different from what I had heard, but she said:" It is your problem, not me." So who can give me any advice? or if you know anything about the policy of quebec resident by chance, could you mind to tell me? I will argue with her if I have evidence about the policy. Thanks all in advance.

你自己申请读Cofi，为什么不带自己的Lease而带朋友的Lease呢？当然不被接收。

我一时没找到合适的住处,就暂时住朋友家.但我看了concordia附的一份attestation of residency in quebec,说房东证明信或者lease都可以.

兄弟，你去800号是第几次？多数人要去3次，OPEN FILE---APPOINTMENT---INTERVIEW，我去800号OPEN FILE时没任何问题，APPOINTMENT时那个很凶的移民官，详情见我在“关于Cofi的最新消息（二) ”中的帖子，跟LEASE有点关系，不过OPEN FILE时的OFFICER是跟我说LANDLORD的LETTER是OK的，你可以理直气壮地说，上次OFFICER说这样就可以了，为什么你说不行？我一个朋友COFI班上了十几
天了，现在还没有LEASE。
