我想申请信用卡

CIBC and Royal bank don't issue it even if you deposit some money as collateral, how about other banks, say, TD? or MOB?

You might be able to get one from TD...
There are some other posts on this forum from those who got credit card from TD. Have a check first and try...

Try Zellars
Last time I pass by Zellar, the staff ask me if I want Zellars credit card. I say I don't mind have 1 more. So only 5 mins, I get a zellars card(temparary one) the official is sent after 1.5 weeks.

the credit is only $300, better than nothing

商家发行信用卡是促销的一种手段，除了Zellars以外还有Canadian Tire。如果想申请这样的信用卡，可以直接到Zellars超市的服务台。尽管这些商家不是金融机构，但通过购物积累信用对今后申请其它的信用卡很有帮助。另外有的商家为了鼓励客户申请信用卡，开卡后购物有一定的折扣，Zellars的折扣为10%。

Desjardins银行的信用卡，他们在Comlexe Desjardins大厦推广时我问了一下，说申请需要有工作。可能各营业点的规则不一样。

申请信用卡的结果因银行而异，个案不同而不同，建议你到银行亲自去问。
