My parents also got US B1/B2 visa in china, also have one-year- Multiple Entry. After they got the Canada visit visa, then one week late, they apply usa visa in china , it is easy to get usa visa, just being asked serveal question which asked in chinese. So when your parents want to come to canada and usa, you can apply two visa in china, it is easy easy easy. Now my parents have visited canada and also usa (Newyork, washington, buffalo ,etc.) and Back to china last week.

I accompanied my parents for the us visa application today, and they got refused. We were told that for the first time,we should apply for us visa from China. That's it. Guess I really should apply for it from other cities. It took us so long time to get one available appointment in Montreal. Grrr....

Hi Money! 200 USD (+15 CAD for reservation ) goes to USA for nothing!  If you say you learned a lession but this lesson has been learned by many people!

No. My parents-in-law applied at Montreal. So I know in Montreal, it is almost impossible.

But I know (100% sure), somebody got VISA at Ottawa. Also from this Thread, I know (I guess it should be true) somebody got VISA at Quebec City, Toronto.

So, in short, I think it's better to apply USA VISA for your parents at other cities. I recommend Ottawa. In Ottawa, you may have chance but in Montreal, you don't have chance, in normal case.

Sorry to hear that. I am thinking maybe give it a try in Ottawa or even Toronto. Anyone knows whether they allow this kind of cross-region application or not?:rolleyes:
