各位大侠，小弟来这里3个月了，想请父母一起过来享受一下这里的清新空气。但是现在有关书写申请父母探亲的邀请函有几点不明，还望各位高手告知：
1.现在的邀请函需要做公证吗？就是要不要在律师面前宣誓签名？
2.邀请函是不是以蒙城华人上面提供的样板为准，还是可以自己来写？
3.需要中英文两种版本吗？如果要，是不是要分别寄给谁？

1.现在的邀请函需要做公证吗？就是要不要在律师面前宣誓签名？

邀请函是写给你父母的，也是给签证官看：你让你父母来加拿大的真实目的。所以它相当重要。它是一封信，干吗公正！蒙城华人提供的不是邀请函，是宣誓书：是你发誓要承担你父母来后的一切责任（吃住医疗等）以及保证他们会按时回去。

2.邀请函是不是以蒙城华人上面提供的样板为准，还是可以自己来写？

邀请函当然自己写！两条要说明：1 = 亲人想念。 2 = 来游玩。第二条比第一条还重要。

3.需要中英文两种版本吗？如果要，是不是要分别寄给谁？

中英文最好都有。中文的事给父母看。英文的事给签证观看。一起寄给父母，和其他材料一起交。

最好的样本是把“申请父母探亲”这一栏的所有讨论看一遍。前人已把很多经验教训贴上了。你可以了解在邀请函上那些可说那些不应说。挑一些有关的，再结合自己实际情况，写一封。邀请函没有固定样本，每个人具体情况不同。但像我上回说的，说让你父母来旅游一定要提。

I just checked the website:
For the documents I have to prepare:
"A notarized copy of your citizenship or immigration status document.
A notarized copy of Notice of Assessment issued by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency."

Do I have to do the notarized copy? Is true copy okay?

one of my friend just sent the normal copy (copy in any copy center)and they also got their perents here. So what kind of copy is not important. The cic officers have our file in computer and they can get it any time if they like. So I believe a "ture copy" is good enough. Sometime, it is ourselves make thing complex.

In my opinion, after preparing all your documents, you should put more efforts in the invitation letter. For the cic officers, they will check the documents just to see whether you have the right to apply. Then they will care more about your "personal documents", like invitation letter, to decide whether you should get the visa.

Recently, not so many people are interested in this topic. might be because the winter is coming and not so many people like to apply now. or many people have got their perent here. Anyway, thank the people (like HaHa,etc) who have provided so many advices here.
