For the vistor visa appliaction at the Beijing embassy, can the applicant not go by himself but duly authorize someone to submit the application on his behalf? Will the processing time be the same as he goes to do it on his own, that is, next working day after receipt of the application?
How long does a mail-in application take normally?

可以授权给家人或朋友帮助递交申请，程序及时间与亲自交一样。但如果用邮件则相对要慢一些，因为有一个处理的过程，使馆每天接到的案子很多。

各位好!
我正在准备申请父母探亲，这里的很多资料非常有帮助，谢谢大家。
但有一个问题我没明白，想再请教大家：
所谓的亲属关系公证，就拿当初我申请移民时的出生公证是不是可以？因为上面有父母的姓名。公证有有效期之说吗？我的大概是2000年的了，还有效吗？
如果另办，我没有出生证，户口本又早就分开了，拿什么去办呢？
