Why you want to hide the relationship if you think it is right? Sometimes this kind of relationship will hurt the others. Carpe Diem is not a pleasure life to everyone. It is not respect, just selfish.

i am not sure of anything.
Carpe diem does not mean to act on every whim or every emotional impulse.
pursuing personal interest is rational. there is no greater moral goal than achieving happiness. some people call it rational egoism.
people would think it allows people to do anything they want to maximize their pleasure, it must be evil. but short term gain or short term pleasure are not happiness. real happiness requires moral integrity and respect for the rights of others.
