如果你是用192.168.2.1登陆了router, 那么电脑的tcp-ip的设置中, 网关和dns都设成192.168.2.1. 电脑的ip地址设为和router在同一网段, 即192.168.2.2 ----192.168.2.254. 子网掩码为255.255.255.0.

一般情况下, 登陆router, 在router中要输入bell的帐号和密码. 电脑不需要拨号, 拨号由router负责(router就是一台小小的专用电脑加上一个集线器).

建议成功后把router的ip地址改成别的, 并且使用加密. 别哪天给人偷用了你的router.

千万不要告诉我,你的猫是接在另一台电脑上的. 把猫接到router.

第一连接:
电话线连接猫,猫连router,router的一个LAN口用有线的方式连着一台电脑(中文操作系统WINXP,这台电脑可以上网),无线的方式连接另一台电脑(IBM390E, 中文操作系统WINME,就是这台电脑,现在还不能登陆网页)

WINME的上网配置:
电脑上可以看到有无线的信号。
在IE中输入192.168.1.1可以登陆router.也可以修改里边的设置.
在电脑的Tcp/IP的设置中，选“指定IP地址” 输入192.168.1.11 子网掩码为255.255.255.0 网关和DNS都设成了192.168.1.1
重启动电脑

点IE图标，显示“ 找不到该页 ”
后面还有提示：HTTP 404 - 未找到文件

我也偿试过“自动获取IP地址” ，网关和DNS都不填任何，也不能上网，提示找不到服务器。

请有经验的指点，谢谢！！！

Run "cmd" on XP machine, type "ipconfig /all"

You will see all info.. set you win98 according to that, but change IP address last dig.
assume you never change the Modem's setting,  yuo can set TCP/IP of Win98 manual instead of aotomatic, i.e. if XP is 192.168.0.100,  set win98 as 192.168.0.101, the rest just copy XP's.

能登陆router, 问题就在router不为你的手提电脑提供代理. 我记得, 无线连接中,如果电脑是手动设IP的, 在路由器上得输入该IP地址. 要不然电脑就得使用DHCP动态地址分配, 可以查看一下路由器的DHCP服务器设置.

浏览器并不能检测网络是不是通的. 在dos窗口使用ping命令, 如ping 202.96.128.68, 这是试能不能接到internet. 如成功, ping www.gznet.com或其它地址, 这是测DNS起不起作用.

慢慢试吧, 好象不是啥大问题. 呵呵, 最好把router的说明书看一下.

Got your msg, called but no one at home at 12:50pm.
"as cncore" said is right, I suggest you to read the manual of the router, best is reset to manufactory setting, reboot the router; modem and win98.

to skip the DNS agent (by router), you can set DNS as same as what you see from the router/moden, something as 67.xxx.xxx.xxx or search from web, put bell.ca other than sympatico.

You also need check, by RUN "services.msc" as you RUN "cmd", check your WIN98 the status of  "DNS Client" and DHCP as well (if you set auto-obtain IP address)

做过的工作：

重装了一遍系统。
将TCP/IP 改成自动找地址，其它相关的也全部改自动（之前也做过这种选择，没效果）。

然后，可以上网了。
