如果移民官认为你通过了面试，当时就要你留下护照。一般上午面试的，下午3：00左右拿visa。

Could you kind tell me what is the content in the letter? Do I must cancel the appointement? Or can I go to the consulate directly without the letter? What shall I take with me if I have not the letter?

The letter shows the time and confirmation  number, passport number etc. of your appointment. It includes information of what you should bring and more importantly to you it mentions you must show this confirmation letter to the guards at the entrance.

how many days did you receive the letter since made the appointement from the internet? I made it last Saturday. I tried to call 1-900-451-2278 a moment ago, but I failed. Is it the right number? And shall I pay for the application fee again if I cancel it?

Mine took about a week or more. So your letter may still on the way.

8 V" e& Z# ]3 i, K5 a9 O. a- N: j+ C; p) DI remembered that you should get a confirmation number and then you can download a PDF format confirmation letter at the same time. The file is the same as the one you are supposed to receive.
$ S5 D5 C' D! mIt is fine enough if you take a print of that file.
: w% b3 J" F% q  a7 _- b$ oIf you don't have that file, try to login backto the appointment webpage using your passport number and confirmation number, may be you can then download the file again.
