These two couples were eliminated:
1. Louie Vito with his partner professional dancer Chelsie Hightower
2. Actress Melissa Joan Hart with her parnter Mark Ballas
Louie should have been eliminated last week. It surprised me the guy Michael Irwin survived (a slight advance than Melisaa). I believe he will be eliminated next week.
The show is getting more and more interesting as less and less competitors survived - now only seven celebrity contests remain on the show.

Michael Irwin was eliminated yesterday as I predicated last week!
Mark Dacascos was also eliminated (I agree on what the judger commented he danced the Samba like the Kongfu Panda!).
Now the five remaining competitors are:
1. Joanna Krupa (Model)
2. Mya (singer)
3. Araon Carter (singer)
4. Kelly Osbourne (TV personality)
5. Donny Osmond (Entertainer?)
Although Kelly was the first one safe yesterday, I think she and Donny may be eliminated next week. Any different comments?

Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel were the first couple to be told they were safe. This was because the couple got the most votes - on top of the seven;

Not necessarily true.
In the past they often used the phrase "in no particular order" when they announced who were safe.
It is the show's practice to create drama.
I agree that Kelly has strong desire to do well and a likeable personality.
She and Louis are a good match in terms of work ethic
but she is very insecure emotionally and might go into meltdown when the going gets tough.
Aaron might be in trouble next.
He did a very good jive last week but was still in the bottom 3.
It means that his fan support is low.
I think that his personality is the issue here.

Yeah. You've got these points.
I think Joanna and Mya will stay in the show because they are woman dancers and need only follow the stars. This is challenging for man competitors like Aaron and Donney who has to lead the dance.
Kelly is a little special for me - she danced soso .. I am not impressive at all but she got more fans support, why?
I do like Aaron's Jive. But his personality is really big issue.
That's expalins why I think two of other three couples (Aaron, Kelly, and Donney) will go home after next Tuesday.
Of course, Monday's show wil tell us much more ...

There will be only one elimination this week, not two.
Tonight, each couple will have two dances - one regular dance and one special themed dance.
Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff: a Foxtrot and a Samba.
Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough: a Quickstep and a Paso Doble.
Mya and Dmitry Chaplin: a Quickstep and a '70s Samba.
Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel: a Foxtrot and a Jive.
Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson: a Viennese Waltz and a '80s Paso Doble.
I guess Aaron' team may go home, if they survive, then Kelly and Louis...
So, there will be a lot of funs tonight...

Kelly is quite graceful in standard dances like foxtrot, but not so much in latin dances.
She has good chemistry with her pro partner Louis.
Now with 2 dances each week, it will be tough for her.
Her spoiled-child personality starts to emerge and that might turn off some TV viewers.
Donny has been around show business for a long time.
He knows how to work hard and sell his performances to the audience.
He probably has an edge over Kelly.
The fan support for Joanna is questionable.
Her advantage is that her pro partner Derek is very popular and always comes up with some great routines.
I think she might get into semi-final.
Mya's score is too far ahead so she should be safe.
If she is not, then it would be the shock of the season.

I was very surprised at the result that Joanna was elinminated last night. I was very, very disappointed! This result is very unfair to Joana!

I believe that the judges' scores count for half and the viewers' votes count for the other half.
Donnie has been in show business for a long, long time, so he has a huge built-in fan base.
Kelly is the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, who is an icon in heavy metal music.
Kelly's mother is in show business as well, working as promoter, manager and judge in talent shows The X Factor and America's Got Talent.
The whole family was in their own TV reality show, The Osbournes.
It means that almost everyone knows Kelly, so she also comes in with strong fan base.
On the other hand, very few people knows Joanna before this show.
Even though she is better than Kelly, it is still not enough to overcome the handicap of lack of exposure.
It is the same last year,
when Gilles was the best dancer almost throughout the season but at the end Shawn Johnson came out the winner, because she was a gymnast who won gold in Beijing olympic,
so she had a much higher name recognition.
I hope the same doesn't happen in the final this year.
Mya has been criticized by some as a ringer, meaning that she knows how to dance as in music video.
She has some advantages in that sense
but the fact remains that ballroom dancing is very different from the dancing in music video.
She still has to learn and work hard to perform well like she did in the last few episodes.
As far as ballroom dancing is concerned, Mya is clearly the best this season.
I just hope that big fan base would not propel Donny or Kelly past Mya.

Just watched the final show. I gotta the same worry as you had. Though Mya is the best this season, the vote may result in an unpredictable outcomes at the end - Donny or Kelly past Mya!
I feel so sorry that Kelly is in this final, it should be Joanna instead of Kelly, Kelly is not a good dancer at all she is just trying hard, she is just good luck to be in this round ...

Mya should have won, it's beyond a joke! IT'S UNREAL. COMPLETELY UNREAL. THEY ARE WORSE THAN AMERICAN IDOL.
....DONNY OSMOND DID NOT EVEN BELONG IN THE FINALS, LET ALONE WIN. MAKES ME SICK!!!
The most talented never wins usually....look at last season too. The show should be renamed to popularity contest...

Donnie comes to the show with big name recognition and big fan base.
In order to overcome that handicap,
not only that Mya has to win the free style round but she must do so by a large enough margin.
Unfortunately Dimitry didn't choreograph a knockout routine to pull away from Donnie far enough.
Still overall Mya gave the best dance performances.
On the other hand, Donnie should thank his lucky star
that he has Kim as the teacher.
Kim has done a fantastic job in teaching and in choreographing to make Donnie look better than he is.
I am not unhappy that Kim gets the honour of sharing the victory.
One side note, Natalie(the swimmer) should have gone far.
She has beautiful lines and such great potential.
I think that her pro(Alec) was not suitable for her.
If she had Johnathan Robert, she would have done very well.
Another tidbit, I read somewhere that Kelly was originally assigned someone else(Mark perhaps), but she wanted someone to make her work hard, so she asked for and got Louis.
That was her one smart move.
Louis proved to be just the right teacher to bring her far.
It shows that the right match-up of pro and the celebrity is crucial for success.

The contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been narrowed down to 6 on Wednesday, December 9.
This week's finale will be a bit weird. Six dancers competing, a lot of musical guests, and yes, a performance from the top 20... and hopefully, we get to see the judges' favorites as always.
Do not miss them on CTV, Tuesday (Dec. 15) and Wednesday (Dec 16.) at 9:00pm
1. Russell Ferguson
Russell is a versatile dancer, he's a strong partner, a memorable personality, and he's shown growth and resilience throughout the season. And this week he may be crowned America's Favorite Dancer.
2. Jakob Karr
Jakob has led in the power rankings all season and he is one of the best dancers. I think he will suffer the same fate as other great technicians before him: second place.
3. Kathryn McCormick
Kathryn is peaking at exactly the right time and each time she steps on stage she's a markedly better dancer. She's a vision.
4. Ashleigh Di Lello
Seeing that she advanced to the finale without dancing, Ashleigh clearly has the voters on her side. If she's able to perform it'll be a final chance to appreciate the growth she's gone through during season 6.
5. Ellenore Scott
Despite being one of the most consistent dancers of season 6, Ellenore doesn't seem to be as beloved by America. Ellenore could be a dark horse for America's Favorite Dancer -- she has the talent, personality, and performances to pull off a win.
6. Ryan Di Lello:
Ryan may be America's Favorite Partner, but he's not America's Favorite Dancer. It would be more interesting to see he dances with his wife Ashleigh.
