The position is responsiblefor daily operational IT tasks required to maintain a mid-size network ofusers, servers and services.
Responsibilities:
% `+ M( J; E5 b - Be the first point of contact for technical assistance over the phone or email
* u: H9 z# L" _9 A- V - Daily operational tasks for internet facing infrastructure (HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, FTP, Exchange)" H7 d4 \# q( ~* ? s n& b
- Daily operational tasks for adding and removing DNS records, Shares, SSL certificates, Firewall rules, Domain users and groups (Microsoft Active Directory)
' [+ T Q8 p; ]( A' v% B - Manage devices including PCs, user services, Windows and Linux servers for a production telecom network
, }9 _, s j2 _9 R- Y/ f# x; e - Adding monitoring of servers and processes using the monitoring system
0 d) y1 C& @8 `4 f# U5 ? - Managing operational processes related to Microsoft 365 admin center - Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint
7 U' h i# C' G! ?& U7 C& B - Support for local station issues as well as some remote branch support
1 P. @" {4 P: V! \6 h - Following best security practices, firewall and Anti-virus (BitDefender)' k9 s# S! I: {8 ~- ^( j! r
- VPN user addition & troubleshoot issues3 f) x2 [# m; w2 j$ A7 W" \; O
- Troubleshooting server/workstation/network issues
; L3 V1 Z) p# r4 ~ - Ticket review and escalation to other departments or third parties for support% ?$ A# H' f5 g1 J
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel) N# e5 V' D5 N/ z6 W( l% ?" j% A
- Manage/Renew SSL certificates, Servers warranty, MS365 Reports, load balancers) r' w8 _4 [4 a4 I
- Manage Local virtualization platforms (ESXi/XenCenter/Proxmox) and Online virtualization platform (Azure/ AWS) familiar with management UI and related tools (Cloud PowerShell)
! g! B) y% N1 Z" |& x - Inventory management and documentation7 ]. @ \, x& b: ~: E# [2 H# G; g
Qualifications:
5 W$ {0 l7 y. y3 P7 [. W$ T; N( d; n - Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with Windows and Linux in a business environment, T$ v) ?! s4 K7 f& z
- Strong Troubleshooting skills with a strong passion for learning new skills and technologies
( z) A* ^; W% [$ r. t - Advanced knowledge of Linux OS (CentOS, Debian, RHEL)7 p+ p8 o! X( L! v5 L
- Advanced knowledge of services such as DNS, HTTPS, SMTP and FTP
5 b& v3 F$ M7 c& C! G! C$ B - Advanced knowledge of firewalls, VPN and VLAN and subnetting.* \# P6 G9 V& Y5 G$ B4 V6 y) q0 P
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and related Internet Protocols
" k4 E( l7 b" D& ? - Knowledge of MS365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, Dynamics365
/ n, B$ I- o" s3 } - Knowledge of SAN/NAS (Dell EMC Powerstore/Compellent, QNAP)4 O2 x# q' k9 \( U; g
- Advanced knowledge of Xen & VMWare virtual clustering environment an asset.
/ [6 N6 B* a; c - Advanced understanding of IT architectures and technologies6 a8 O+ [# L8 C# {
- Scripting experience (Bash, Perl, PowerShell)7 ], C- x. `% g9 p
- Experience with Zabbix monitoring systems or similar C' a; w/ u) ?9 d
- Good experience with Microsoft Active directory6 R6 ?" D. W7 K5 \9 \8 M
- Experience with Docker, OpenVPN is considered an asset" D' Q2 l* V* v3 N; ~0 P
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written. " c: s' g9 \6 j+ g3 j! e
- Excellent skills at writing documentation and diagrams
