Reporting to the Mandarin Team Lead, the Mandarin Translator is responsible for translating technical product texts, marketing assets and SEO-driven texts. He/She will ensure that all translations are in line with SSENSE guidelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses an excellent command of Simplified Chinese, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen interest in fashion. 5 d& v; X* H2 A; `: }: K. ^. \; A. V- Z
RESPONSIBILITIES 7 K) M5 T- n# f+ lTranslate product information, designer biographies, and marketing copy in line with SSENSE terminology * j2 U: b1 K/ ]0 o% L4 F6 ^Monitor, maintain and update the terminology guidelines to ensure copy is consistent and accurate: a- ]' f2 C& T3 U
Ensure weekly KPI targets are consistently met and tracking tools are updated daily 6 o" b9 D0 w4 MMaintain rigorous standards of quality control % ?- I* c: N. b+ W5 eWork closely with the Mandarin and other language teams in performing various translation assignments for the company as required2 E& u; u7 b4 s5 ~" n

Bachelor’s degree in Translation" e. q! f4 M/ l/ I% t/ }
A minimum of 2 years translation experience, preferably in a fashion or e-commerce environment 7 t$ d& Y1 k! V% ^, TExcellent verbal and written skills in both English and Mandarin7 ^: _7 n1 F- s: p W
Mastery of simplified Chinese grammar, spelling and usage including the ability to craft culturally-sensitive texts0 H3 ~( f: I$ `
