- RDBMS-related Certification an asset;

- Experience in finance, accounting, ecommerce, or payments considered an asset.

Database developer is responsible for building and maintaining all data systemsacross the organization, support new system data export, clean and import withthe whole project implementation life circle.

+ u$ k5 |& Y# k% ~" k8 y
9 `! A4 O1 b0 M, a/ F' G1 N& N( Y - Help develop and maintain data models, data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data element naming standards, and metadata standards for the business using Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle RDBMS;
; W4 M! G0 }3 M8 n' m" f - Development and maintenance of GP Database process, packages, stored procedures, and functions to capture, load, and maintain databases on multiple environments.7 {9 u; r# B! R& c7 @: _
- Perform extensive analysis of database entities, relationships and attributes;
4 p- p9 R0 W& j8 m# e! i - Data analysis, produce ad hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.% Z% k7 ~ k# }* _$ p/ T$ g1 j: }4 v
- Diagnose and resolve any data and performance issues, ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements.
; p j8 M2 y1 Y ?% c - Providing a high-level of data quality awareness across the organization.
* }% E# q6 N# X# D+ U; p( H - Proactively working on identifying and improving data quality.' {0 W! Q1 n" e5 G; u
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation specifically, data dictionaries, user-manuals.
0 B" b' a3 P) R - Diagnose and correct database process failure conditions, escalating problems as appropriate;1 ?. u) e' ]' H. `2 K
- Perform regular database administration tasks, such as modification of the database structure, controlling user access, connectivity, maintenance of existing solutions, running jobs; |( @+ k+ M4 ~
- Apply data modeling, data design and implementation to support business requirements and drive the organization forward;
; W# N- s( `# l( Y6 X' T U: D - Maintain professional and technical knowledge required for role and keeps current on emerging database trends and technologies;
! l }: r4 ?9 F0 a0 k - Work with other members of the Technology team to contribute to the implementation of new data systems;; R; t0 R# V* X4 r9 K1 X
- Support the development life cycle from requirements to deployment;$ l3 O% Q$ N5 ^1 N" J
- Work closely with management throughout development lifecycle;. E: n1 m1 l n- P) g& ]6 U B
